FINGAL WORK MATTERS EXPO 13 – 23 NOVEMBER 2017
Welcome to the first Work Matters Expo in Fingal. The programme includes a variety of guest speakers, interactive workshops and an exhibition of employment and enterprise support agencies where you will be offered advice and support if you are looking for a job, a career change or are thinking of starting your own business.

Wednesday, November 22 – 10.00am – 12.00 noon – Geraldine Nolan/Interview Preparation
Geraldine is a qualified Life and Career Coach. This session may be attended as a follow up to Geraldine’s previous CV preparation workshop on November 8th or attended as a stand-alone session. Geraldine will cover topics such as how to impress employers at an interview, how to handle tough interview questions and more.
Exhibits from organisations that support unemployed, underemployed and those starting their own business will be on display on Saturday, November 18.

Work Matters seeks to develop a suite of services that will compliment with those already provided by existing organisations.
Balbriggan Library has been included in the Dublin area initiative.
What is it?
A business, enterprise and employment service at Balbriggan Library.
What does it provide for the Work Matters user?
- Business and Employment specific books.
- Newspapers, leaflets and a jobs and information board.
- FREE library wi-fi.
- Work Matters assigned PC’s and iMac.
- Printing, scanning and photocopying services.
- Pre-bookable meeting room.
- Access to FREE digital resources.
(Business databases, online courses, eBooks and magazines, online language learning)
These facilities are also available to library members.
Library membership is FREE and open to everybody in the community.
- 400 courses on Universal Class covering a myriad of subjects that can be accessed.
(Career training, entrepreneurship, office skills and web development + much more)
- Vision-net database tool – ideal for job seekers and business people alike.
Jobseekers – Do research for upcoming interviews.
Business people – Do research on your industry, your competitors and consumers.
The library will be running a series of FREE events working in co-operation with local partners – topics covered will range from.
- Computer classes
- Interview skills
- English language classes
