Balbriggan Chamber of Commerce held its most recent networking event in Balbriggan Golf Club on Thursday, 13th September 2018.
There was another large turnout of members, and it afforded them an opportunity to network with each other and discuss business life in the local and national economy.
Members were welcomed by Chamber President – John Cumisky of REA Cumisky who expressed his delight at the large turnout and the fact that a number of new members were in attendance.
The focus of the event was new businesses and presentations were made by Ms Jardaine Floyd of Red Office and Mr Gregory Johnston of CGJ Consulting. They both gave a briefing on the services they provide and stressed how important it was for small businesses to be supported by existing established businesses.
Mr Oisin Geoghegan of the Local Enterprise Office Fingal gave a presentation on SME’s. He spoke on the start-up phase and the need to grow the business. He said that LEO provides business advice, mentoring, training and financial support, and urged the owners of businesses to contact them. LEO would be very happy to provide support on any aspect of the business.
Chamber CEO, Maurice O’Halloran gave a brief update on events scheduled for the final quarter of the year and thanked everyone for their attendance.
