About Us

The Viaduct in Balbriggan is a massive construction of eleven arches which represents a strong identifying element within the town.

The Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping the local Balbriggan and Fingal economy grow through a range of different initiatives to re-invigorate the Chamber and in turn, boost the local economy.  The Chamber is focused on marketing Balbriggan as one of the most desirable destinations in Fingal – for businesses, residents and visitors alike.

With this in mind, in 2010 the Chamber joined forces with Balbriggan Town Council, Fingal County Council and the Heritage Council to carry out an initial assessment of the public areas of Balbriggan and consequently developed a Public Realm Plan for the town.  This plan is creating a vision for the town based on it’s history and heritage, it’s businesss community, and built environment and rich natural and coastal amenities.

Other positive achievements for the Chamber include the annual Bridgestone Balbriggan FoodFest.  The aim of the FoodFest is to showcase the culinary delights that can be found in the Balbriggan area, either as raw produce or as the finished product in local restaurants.  This annual event is hugely successful by both exhibitors and visitors.

The Balbriggan Economic Development Conference is another initiative of the Chamber.  Sponsored by Fingal County Council this initiative is in the process of bringing together the business community of North Fingal to discuss and explore the exciting business opportunities for Balbriggan.

Recently the Chamber established a full time office in the center of town.  This is a requirement for a town that has grown substantially over the last 10 years, with an increase in businesses to over 300 in Balbriggan and District.

In these challenging times, it is the time to get involved and make Balbriggan a desirable and inspiring place to live and do business.  With it’s new office in place and a growth in members, the Chamber  will continue to represent the best interests of it’s members and the local community.
