The Historic Lighthouse at Balbriggan Harbour represents the rich history of Balbriggan and also the fishing industry that has been one of Balbriggan's founding industries.
Balbriggan is a seaside town located approximately 30 km north of Dublin city with a large and relatively new population.
It has experienced very rapid growth in recent years and has experienced both the ups and downs of rapid development and expansion in a relatively short timeframe. Resulting from this rapid development there is now a new, young, dynamic and multi cultural population in the town and the people of Balbriggan take pride in the fact that the new residents have successfully integrated themselves into the community.
Balbriggan is rich in history, natural amenities and community spirit. The town boasts many organisations dedicated to the youth of Balbriggan, the cultural diversity of Balbriggan and the natural offerings of Balbriggan to name but a few.
The Balbriggan Chamber of Commerce supports the many volunteer groups in Balbriggan and works with the local business owners to explore the exciting businesses in Balbriggan.
The Chamber of Commerce is very aware that in these challenging times, it is the time to get involved and make Balbriggan a desirable and inspiring place to live and do business. To this end we have joined forces with local council to create a vision for the town based on its business development as well as it’s history and heritage, youth culture and it’s rich natural and coastal amenities.
